Island Buses
Southern Vectis, the island’s bus network provider, runs routes through most of the island’s towns and villages. There are good, frequent links direct to all of the ferry terminals (with the exception of Fishbourne), enabling travellers to the island easy access by public transport. Southern Vectis’ website provides excellent details on bus routes and times. For the latest news on Southern Vectis bus travel see their page on Twitter.
Rover & Freedom (7 day) tickets are a really good idea if you are making more than one return journey on the bus.

PRICES Child(5 - 13) Adult Family* 24 hours £5 £10 £20 48 hours £7.50 £15 £30 7 day Freedom £10 £20 £40 *Family is up to any five people.
You can buy Rover / Freedom tickets from the bus driver, Southern Vectis travel centres or from any PayPoint shops across the island. Southern Vectis also sell them on-line. Rover & Freedom tickets are a really good idea if you are making more than one return journey on the bus. You can use them on any bus, any time, and as often as you like including on the open top Island Breezer tour buses.
If you are only going to make one return journey and just wish to buy a ticket for that journey, make sure you ask for a ‘through ticket’ to your destination if you are going to need to travel on more than one bus to get there. This ensures that you will only pay a maximum of £4 for your journey each way.
