    Bus Train

    By bus

    No 2 and 3
    You can travel to Ryde, Godshill & Newport. The No 3 also takes you to Ventnor.

    No 8 (Sandown & Lake, not Shanklin) – travels along the Arreton Valley via Amazon World Robin Hill, and Arreton Barns
    During the spring / summer months, you can also use the Sandown Breezer Tour, which takes you to Shanklin and along the seafront there, as well as the Old Village. It also takes you direct to Isle of Wight Zoo, Dinosaur Isle.

    The Island Coaster runs all the way from Ryde, via Blackgang Chine reaching alum bay and Yarmouth along the glorious ‘Back of the Wight’.

    By Train

    The line travels from Shanklin though to Ryde.

    Cycle

    Sandown to Brading.
    Shanklin to Niton & Wroxall.
    Shanklin to St Lawrence.
    Sunshine Trail around Godshill, Sandown, Shanklin & Newchurch

    You can also take the cycle track from Sandown Station all the way to Newport and beyond to Cowes. (National Cycle route 23)

    Walk

    You can walk along Sandown esplanade to Isle of Wight Zoo, Dinosaur Isle. Sandown Pier is an ideal all-weather location to visit with it’s own indoor crazy golf and arcade games-a-plenty. There are also two walks between Sandown and Shanklin, one at the top of the cliff and one along the seafront.

    Both Shanklin and Sandown’s beaches are within walking distance of the stations (about a 20 minute walk)
